The History of the Ticonderoga Pencil

The Dixon Ticonderoga #2 Soft Pencil has a long history as one of the first pencil brands in the United States. This video gives you my research on this tool, that I have been using for 40+ years. Originally made and produced in the United States, it has since been scaled and sold worldwide, produced in other countries such as China, Sri Lanka, Brazil. Its traditional make using Eastern Red Cedar wood, graphite and clay made it a trustworthy writing utensil, not too hard, not too soft pencil 'lead', that was dependable. Even though the company now has been scaled up to include the F.I.L.A. group specializing in other creative writing tools, and now uses economically and eco-friendlier woods, it still continues to be one of my favorite writing utensils.
